South/Eastern Europe is almost completely overlooked in the main- stream discourse regarding queerness, feminism, art, theory, and politics beyond post-socialism. The post-soviet reality might not be easy on queer people, but it does not mean queer resistance is absent in the area. Quite the contrary, it seems that in places, where oppres- sion is more intense than in the Western world (allegedly), people who deviate from the heteronormative mainstream must come up with exceptionally creative ways of resistance. Sabbath is a collective am- plifying the diversity of FLINTA voices from Eastern-European, Baltic, Balkan, Eastern-bloc diaspora.
